About

Jessica Grass, MST, M.Ed. is an accomplished leader, educator and consultant who has worked in a variety of industries including marketing/communications, education, and healthcare. She has worked as a communication specialist,  secondary school teacher, guidance counsellor, mental health advocate, and an educational consultant. She has helped organizations transform their environments to meet their goals using her education, technical expertise and experience in communication, education and counselling. She is motivated by helping others achieve their goals and now her work as a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Certified Canadian Counsellor through the CCPA (The Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association)  offers counselling to those that want to create change in their lives .

Jessica’s philosophy for helping is grounded in the traditions of client centered and strength based practices to enhance the foundations from which people have to contribute to their life growth. Jessica draws upon the Brief Therapies to assist with her work, at times uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy but is especially well versed in Narrative Therapy finding it very effective in drawing out the influence of culture and life circumstance on one’s life, their decisions and consequently the story they tell themselves and others about who they are.

Jessica provides services under the supervision of Dr. Brenda Saxe Ph.D, C. Psych, a clinical psychologist and a founding member and former Director of the Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma in Ottawa. Dr Saxe also has been a lecturer, trainer and supervisor in the Marital / Couple Therapy Program at St. Paul University for over 12 years.
